It’s hard for me to put into words what I experienced at Whispering Winds Horses. I didn’t know what to expect going into the day, but I had a very open mind. I was a little nervous, having never been around horses much over my 28 years. Jane was amazing at helping calm those nerves.

I walked into the first paddock with an open mind and heart but didn’t truly feel a “connection” with either of the horses. Moving into the second paddock, I accepted that maybe I wouldn’t have a connection but remained open-minded. Then I locked eyes with Eragon. Sure, he was initially playing a little hard to get, but he came around. 

 

To explain the feeling I felt while spending time with Eragon. It is…impossible. It was like I blocked the entire world out for a good 30 minutes. Standing there in silence, stroking this majestic animal, I felt so at peace, so relaxed. When I came out of what I can best describe as a “trance, I felt reenergized, almost like I was reborn. My mind was so clear.

My experience was almost a mirror image of my daughter, Taylor’s…

Jane walked us calmly through each paddock. As we interacted with each beautiful horse, I could actually feel my body relax and my mind clear. By the time we reached the last of the three paddocks, I felt what can only be described as an ‘out of time’ sensation flow over me.

 

There I was with these incredible animals, Handsome and Emmy, who I knew, without a doubt, had taken note of me and were picking up on the ‘turtle on its back’ and the ‘sincere’ mindset I was trying to project. After a good twenty minutes of locking eyes across the paddock, Handsome turned away. I did the same and took a slow, thoughtful stroll around the paddock.

 

I made a full circle, returned to my original spot, and simply stood there, arms open wide, as if asking for a hug and sending positive energy. At that moment, Handsome turned and slowly walked towards me, Emmy in tow. That is when I crossed into a veil of honesty, pure, unadulterated trust and mutual respect.

 

Time was nonexistent. What followed was ‘Magical. It is also private. Therefore, I will stop here and say your experience will be yours and yours alone. I wouldn’t want to influence anyone’s ‘Spiritual Journey, so I will only say it was an incredible experience I will remember for the rest of my life.
