I recall first meeting Jane at an event a few years ago. As we chatted, I was instantly intrigued when she shared that she was training in “equine-assisted learning.” And several months later, I had the good fortune to experience this firsthand with some beautiful horses. One word: WOW!

 

To be clear, as much as I’d always been enchanted and in awe of horses, I had also always been somewhat nervous around them - I didn’t grow up around horses, so I used to feel quite intimidated by them. After all, they are massive creatures. Yet, that all changed after that first session with Jane and one of those gorgeous, gentle horses.

 

It’s hard to describe what it’s like to go through one of these facilitated equine learning encounters - you must experience it yourself. However, some words that come to mind are magical, soulful, safe, profound, kindness, peace, love, and insight. Without exaggeration, my first experience with the horses was life-altering in the best possible ways! And lucky me, I had the great privilege to continue working with Jane and the horses over several extraordinary 1:1 sessions and subsequent truly unique group workshops.

 

As a facilitator and a human being, Jane is lovely, genuine, kind, patient, generous, and compassionate. She can create and hold what can best be described as a truly sacred space with you (as the participant) and the horse teacher. It doesn’t matter what challenge, obstacle, or emotional pain/trauma you choose to bring to this process to heal. Working with these incredible horse teachers will positively transform you in the process, with Jane guiding you safely through it all every step of the way.
